GOOD MORNING ALL
Just another day in the Rockies. I understand why John Denver sang about this part of the country. Like they say priceless. We went to ID. Falls yesterday took a nice short walk around the falls. They are in the downtown area and have nice shopping and a GOOD Mexican restaurant. I must say the food was very tasty. Even the salsa was good. As usually I stained my new white blouse with salsa I hate it when that happens. White is my favorite color. Well, I will need to shop again.
Today is Friday and we plan to stay home and enjoy the RV park
the weather is just perfect so we will enjoy the outdoors. The air is so very clean here.
I spoke with my grandsons last night they are doing well and anxious for school to be out. They need there summer vacation.
Although there summer is pretty booked. They have grandparents in AR. so will spend a couple of weeks with them, then they will fly to WA. to spend about 3 weeks with us. Being the {perfect} granny, we have lots of fun stuff plan for them.
I am keeping up with our friends blogs as they begin there summer travels. Ted and Donna had dinner in MO. that famous restaurant that throws the rolls. Donna said there is no portion control, the wait staff is always coming around to fill your plates. They took home enough food for 2 meals. They are off to Ohio to visit with their kids and grand kids. They always have many stories to share with all of their many travels.
Jay and Stella are also on the road they are headed to IN. they will attend a rally. I like going to the rallies always have good vendors to make RV living easy.
WELL I suppose I have made all jealous. Of course I will post again. You just need to retire and come play with us. Keep leaving your comments, I do enjoy hearing from you. By the way Lisa pooh those are buffalo's.
Love to all, be safe

Tetons

We had another amazing day we went to the Grand Teton National Park. Unbelievable the amount of snow that is still on the ground this time of year. We are talking late May. June is just a week away. The snow is over my head in several areas of the park. Lakes are still frozen, with thick frozen ice.
We saw a black bear feeding we watched him about 20 min. Later down the rode we say a wolf also grazing the meadows. A Bald Eagle in his nest. This must be the best time of the year to come to the park. This is our 4 th day in the park and as usual we were entertained with the Buffalo parade. You just can't image they totally block traffic as they mosey down the street. SO cool. I tell you you have got to come and see all this. There is plenty lodging, restaurants, the ideal family place.
Harry and I have decided we will stay home tomorrow there is a chance of rain. I guess I will catch up on woman's work. It should take 2 or 3 min. Later in the week we plan to check out some winery's.
Bob and Vicki left today they are headed to ALASKA. They have a small group caravan the Alaska highway. I can't wait to make that trip.
I am watching the Astro's and of course they are loosing, well it is early in the season for them. They have a lot of catching up.
I have a few new followers, so I want to say Howdee ya'll. Great to have you aboard. I can't wait to hear your comments. I know I am just awesome.
I need to pass the good news on Virginia Tijerinia had her surgery and all is well. The Doc feels the cancer has not spread. So she will not have to take chemo are radiation. Thanks so much for your prays. They really work.
Happy Birthday to Laurie Ann and Janie. Have a fun day girls.
I am sleepy so I need to say chow for now. Will catch up with you guys soon. Ya'll come back now.
darn Astro's they lost.

Yellowstone Day 2

Good morning to all. Today is Sunday May 24 th and we are still in Island Park ID. Our plans very simple today. We have meet a few Texans in the RV park and we have been told that a local bed & breakfast brags they have the best chicken fried steak. We as Texans are up for the challenge. I do this in honor of our lone star state.
The weather partly cloudy but chilly enough we had to turn the heater on this morning. In fact when the sun goes down it is pretty darn cold, we have not been able to enjoy the nights. We even have a fire ring I guess we are just cry babies. I have seen the bright stars here and it seems as though you can reach up and touch them. The nights so black and the shinny stars light the way. I understand why the cowboys enjoyed the wide open space.
We have spent 2 days inside Yellowstone Park we are entering the park on the West entrance. Which you have a short trip through MT. This small town is very family friendly lots of lodging, restaurants, and shopping, a large IMAX screen.
You are able to drive through the park however the best beauty is when you take designated trails. So you need good walking shoes, your camera and a pair of binoculars. { we have two pair, just don't know were}
Mammoth Hot Springs Tower junction is a must see. Yellowstone Lake still has ice on it.
We seen lots of deer, buffalo, elk, geese. Still looking for bears and bald eagles. When you walk to some of the hot springs be sure and watch the boiling water and the mud pots. Some of the gases are strong just get up wind. { I only thought Hartley was a stinker}
Have heard from friends back home some in Cut n Shoot and some at Rayford. Both groups having a great time and the stories they can tell. You need to wear depends you laugh so hard. Jay and Stella are going to the Heartland Rally, Donna and Ted, are heading to Indiana family reunion, then a cross country drive to Yellowstone any way we all will meet up late Sept. in CO. Dee and Rick and Tommy and Susan will have joined us will have a week together. Lots of tall tales, to share. Just plan fun getting together.
Spoke with my grand boys they are spending Memorial weekend with Aunt Lisa she lives in San Antonio. They have plans to walk the river and ride the ferries. Maybe go to Natural Bridge Caverns.
Till next time.

A Day at Yellowstone

Where shall I begin. What I was able to witness with my eyes is just amazing.
The wonder of God's hand is so overwhelming and for him to give this opportunity to us. I am so blessed.
We drove to the west side of Yellowstone National Park today. The ride to the park is a short distance from the RV park. Along the highway are piles of snow. You look out into the forest and you see patches of snow. Once inside the park pine trees that seem to touch the sky. Mountain peeks that sparkle from the sun rays. Miles and miles of landscape that is untouched by man. A haven for all to see. Every twist and turn through the mountains will just take your breath away. The family's of buffaloes marching down the highway without a care and pacing themselves for the long day ahead. Roaming through the open fields and basking in the warmth of the sun. The chipmunk that poses perfectly for your camera. Eagerly awaiting a treat. The large geese prancing on the water. Many hot springs with the steam billowing towards the sky. Boiling waters of the many geysers as you peer into the crystal clear water you can almost see the center of the earth. Cascades of waterfalls so inviting and the rushing rapids begging for you to tube down. The grand finale is to witness Old Faithful, shooting straight up. Gasping in wonder. Yes, today was such a blessing, that I am thankful. This shall be a memory I want forget. We only scratched the surface and I fear the 2 weeks will not be enough.
If you have not made vacations plans I suggest you give this park serious thought you will not be disappointed. There are many RV parks, hotel chains I notice a few are pet friendly, a variety of restaurants. This place would also be a great ski vacation, a wide array of fun toys for kids and parents wanting to play in the snow. Be sure to wear good walking shoes there are many areas you can explore. Small children I suggest a stroller. Most important a camera.
May the Peace of Christ be you.

Hello to all. I guess you want to know all about Vegas. Let me say fun, very hot and a night life like non other. I guess I will break the rules and let you know what happen in Vegas.
We arrived Sat. May 2nd. We had to make a detour around the Hoover Dam. We drove to Needles CA. and was stoped at the state inspection and my limes were confiscated. The detour was not bad, just an inconvenience.
We made reservation at Sam's Town R V park very nice, sites are small, pool, spa, laundry room. I will give a rating of a 7.
We picked Roger and Kerry up at the airport, we had to wait for Roger luggage, he was not too happy about that.
We took them to the Wynn Hotel which would be there home for a week. The Wynn is a great place, nice restaurants which we ate at two. The Terrace Cafe we had french onion soup, sandwiches, and a excellent bottle of Red wine. The portions was plentiful and tasty. The steak house, now that was a meal we had a 20 oz bone in Rib eye. Our side dishes Au gratin potato's, truffle cream corn and asparagus. The steaks were cooked perfect, just the right amount of seasoning, you were able to cut the steak with a fork.
I Hop was our breakfast of choice we ate there 3 or 4 mornings it is Harrys favorite place for stuffed french toast with strawberry topping. Made a day trip to the Hoover Dam and yes we took the Dam tour. We had to park on the AZ. side and walk to NV. and walk back to AZ. Always remember good walking shoes.
We then headed to Lake Mead walked around and watched families enjoying a day at the beach. Well it is not Galveston beach. We drove to Red Rock Canyon Park what a sight. All I can say is magical, the beauty is breath taking. There was several pictures stops and we did just that lots of pictures I will be sharing. However pictures will not do justice you should put this on your to do list. Afterward we visited a winery and did the tasting. We bought 4 bottles. We were able to attend 3 shows Penn & Teller good performers, after the show we had pictures made with them.
Our friend Roger was able to get on stage and assist them in a trick. Next time you see him ask for his autograph. Our next show Crazy Horse some of Las Vegas pretty show girls. The finale was the Le Reve it is a water dance. The lights, props, music, and dancers awesome. The show is well worth the price of tickets. We had great seats in front. I did not really see any bad seats.
We did a little gambling did not break any banks theirs or ours.
Roger and Kerry were in town 7 days and we had such fun entertaining and playing with them. We are moving on and heading to Utah check back for futher updates. Please put our very good friend Virginia T. on your prayer list.

On the Road Again

We had a very nice road trip today. Our drive through the mountains was very pleasant. The picture perfect scenery is just awesome all the colors, the rocks seem to float in mid air so very fascinating to admire. The country side is breathe taking. You see the landscape change almost instantly from dessert and blowing sand to tall timbers of green pines.
We have pulled in a KOA for the evening we are just about 4 hours from Vegas. Tomorrows drive should be short and sweet.
Have a good weekend may the peace of christ be with you.
Love to all
Juju
