I've been every where man

Just like Johnny Cash song. We are now in Boerne TX. We will visit our daughter Malissa, she would like some of moms home cooking. She is taking Friday off from work, we will do what girls do best SHOPPIN
We are going to have a rainy Tuesday. Will not get much accomplished. We need to put our trailer in the shop for some minor repairs which means I need to clear out the fridge and gather some clothes. Tough to do in the rain. Hmmm I know what I can do. LOL

After we left Creede CO. we drove to Dolores County CO. and met up with some friends at Priest Gulch RV park. We quickly got set up {for 5:00 somewhere} bloody marys, crown and coke, beer, and a roaring fire. Sunday we went up a mountain elevation about 13,000, the trail very narrow, glad we rode with Jay and Stella our truck just to wide to. if you are afraid of heights this is not a trip for you. The rode is very winding, rugged, and you don't want to look out the side. What a drop off. Like Harry said the trees will break your fall, he is a man of many words, I am sorry ladies he is mine. he he he There was a lake at the top so we tired fishing only got one through it back. Very cold on the mountain and we had several layers of clothes and still could not get warm. We had such fun, this will be a memory we want soon forget. We did mange to catch some rainbow trout at another lake enough for a fish fry with all the fix 'ens.' I even caught two fish I had such fun I can't wait to get to Via Bayou in Dickinson to fish and crab. When we did not fish we took scenic drives and admired the fall colors of the trees. The Aspen trees, from bright green to pale green then to yellow then to bright copper. With the sunlight gleaming on the trees the colors hues can only be appreciated in person. So this must be on your to do list.

Our week was over all too soon. Time to say good bye to our coffee and cobbler nights {3} sitting by roaring fires, telling fish stories, and scary rides up the mountains, pizza nights with beer and wine, and our great friends that made our trip very special.

Time to begin the last leg of our trip, being on the road for six months and traveling 13 states, our road trip is done for awhile. We have many excited family members and MS Kerrie who are counting the minutes. Cody and Ryan want there granny and papa home.

We are truly blessed to be able to full fill our retirement dreams. Having the Peace of Christ our journey was spiritual as thrilling.

Be safe XXXXOOOOO

Harry and the Hendersons in Colorado

I know it has been quite a while since my last post. Just been busy. We arrived in Creede Co. Aug 29th. Pat, Steve, Doug and Mar greeted us. The park [Mountain View] had a BBQ dinner that evening celebrating ten years. Very tastee lots of good food and of course great fellowship. Harry and I did make it an early night a full day of driving can tire you.
The Henderson's flew into Durango to join us for the Labor Day weekend. We were able to take them to some of our favorites places. Pagosa Springs, Lake City, Wolf Creek pass and Pool table. Took a small train ride and stopped for a great catfish lunch. This area of Co. is very mountainous elevation can be as high 12,000 feet. Roads are very winding, turns can be sharp, but the view is so worth the trip. Many little side roads, will lead you to water falls that will take your breathe away. The many little critters AKA chipmunks beg for treats. We did get to see a couple of nice size deer. However after we had drove Wayne and Leslie to the airport. Harry and I saw wild turkeys and a doe and two fawns. Of course I did not have the camera ready. We did have 4 fun days with the Henderson but it went by all to fast. Our friendship goes way way back about 30 years.
Monday being Labor Day we decided we needed to be adventurous, the four of us Pat Steve Harry and I took a one hour guided horse ride. We had a blast, I can't say much for the horse. Our guide took us up a mountain trail that was a new area of landscape for us, this beauty never gets old. Our ride to short but we were ready get off the horse, now we know why cowboys are bow legged. We were very sore Tues. Just another thing we can scratch from our bucket list. Pat and Steve leave here Thursday they are heading to Indiana. Doug and Mar left Wed. they are heading home to Texas.
Harry and I will make a short drive to Priest Gulch Co. in Delores County, CO. Where will meet up with some more friends Coffmans, Cobbs, Hathcocks Our menu will be BLT, Bloody Marys, and Screw drivers. We all have our specialty Ricky cooks the bacon and if she was here we would let Kelly cooks the steaks because of her special crunchy seasoning. The rest of us just sit back and supervise.

Well love to all Be safe
